Title: Cocoa & Caring
Location: Glenwood Gymnasium
Start Time: 6:30
Date: 12-8-2011
End Time: 8:00
A special night that symbolizes the “Caring and Sharing’ spirit of Glenwood where an unwrapped toy is brought to the event and donated to children in need in our community. The evening is enjoyed by all with holiday music, crafts, stories read by teachers and of course lots of cocoa and cookies! If you’d like to help out with this event, fill out a Volunteer Form.
This is by far the most anticipated day of the week at Glenwood! Kids bring 25 cents to school on Fridays and get a bag of freshly popped popcorn! Two poppers and one $ counter needed from 8-11 am Fridays. Want to help out? Volunteer!
Movie night is a fun, PTO sponsored family event held 2-3 Fridays per year in the Laurin Gym. Kids are encouraged to bring pillows/blankets and chairs are provided for a fun filled evening of concessions, popcorn, and a family friendly movie with surround sound! This event cannot run smoothly without a chairperson, so bring the whole family and get involved!! The responsibility of the chair is to help organize the event, call volunteers for the popcorn/candy booth, and to setup the projector for the show. Volunteers also have alot of fun at the concession booth, taking tickets, and popping popcorn…just one hour of helping out makes a big difference and your kids will love to see you participating in a school activity!!
